I think that a lot of us figured this was bound to happen sooner or later.  Does he stay or does he go?

I think he stays. He's a little long in the tooth and it doesn't make sense for him to start all over again. Also, even though this year's team wasn't up to usual LSU standards, they are very young and talented and should be very good next year.

Michigan is a hot mess.

I don't think Miles will ever leave. I do however, think if he could win regular it would be better than the SEC where he has to dig and scratch for each yard they get, where at Michigan he would only have to be tosu and play for a national title every year. RTR!

Agree totally. Miles is 60, plus I doubt John Chavis, the DC & main man at LSU would go with him.

Didn't this happen a couple years ago? LSU gave him a raise and Meechigan went with Hoke.

Prolly.  I can't remember what happened Monday.

Most salient point of this thread: NOBODY can predict Les Miles' behavior.
But this is likely his last, best opportunity to escape Louisiana and return to his roots.  He might go, might not, or might not even know if he does!

Doesn't Michigan play on field turf? I don't think he can eat that.

That might just be in his favor.  He could chew on that rubber grass for hours upon hours...

You've got a point. I think Les has a cud.

Nobody knows what Les will do....including Les.

As long as this questions lingers, it will have some impact on recruiting.

Since 2011, Miles has gone 10-3, 10-3, & 8-4. I think he can forget the paycheck leverage. Plus, he just turned 61.

I don't see his age being a factor either way unless he feels that he can win the NC if he stays but not if he leaves or vise versa...

Someone made a good point earlier, he has a lot of guys coming back after starting this year as freshmen & sophomores. He is in a strong position to have a good team in 2015, if he will get a QB.
