The first meeting between Alabama and Ohio State featured legendary coaches Paul 'Bear' Bryant and Woody Hayes, but there was no drama in the 1978 Sugar Bowl.

BINGO!!  I have always thought the 1977 team with Ozzie, J. Rutledge, Legg, B. Krause, Cryder, Nathan, Wingo, D. Stephenson, etc., should have won the 1977 National Championship and were a better team than the 1978 team.
