Shaun Alexander thinks he knows what's wrong with Trent Richardson

One former Alabama running back to another, Shaun Alexander thinks he can help Trent Richardson become the kind of player in the NFL that he was with the Crimson Tide. Alexander is Alabama's career rushing leader with 3,565 yards. Richardson holds the Tide's single-season rushing record with 1,679 yards in 2011. Read more...

Alexander said the members of the Alabama running back fraternity keep tabs on each other, making sure the Tide's current ball-carriers know what's expected of them. Alexander said he remembered getting a call from Johnny Musso, Alabama's first 1,000-yard rusher, just as he's been in contact with current Tide running back Derrick Henry.

"You can't just come to Bama and be good," Alexander told Edholm. "You have to be special, and you have to pass it on."
