Alabama vs Florida in Basketball Today in SEC Tourney

Game is on SEC Network at noon. A really good ACC game is on ESPN @ 1pm between Louisville/UNC.

I may be too busy to watch much of the Tide today. However, a very interesting ACC game tonight 6 pm is NC State/Duke.

Bama up 23-18 with 10 minutes to play in 1st half. Bama playing well.

23-21 Bama  9:30 left in half. UF comes back strong after timeout.
Levi, Obasohan, Norris, & Cooper looking good.

UF has come back from being down by 8 to tie the game 23-23 at the under 8 minute break. Bama has gone cold in the last 4 minutes.

UF leads 33-29 at the half. Bama had a 8 point lead but went cold with 10:00 left in the half. Cooper had 11 points.

UF has 7 off rebs to our 0.

Not looking good for the Tide. We are down 60-49 with 5:00 to play.

Bama loses 69-61. I hope they don't get an NIT bid. The carnage needs to end here.

Tough loss. We needed this game. We have an outside shot at the NIT and I hope we get a bid. Our young guys can use the experience. I also would like to see Levi and Coop play another game or two.

Three minutes to go in the game. Bama down by 7. We get a steal and Cooper drives the lane for a layup which he makes and gets fouled... the blind ref calls a charge on Coop and wave off the basket. The replay showed Cooper trying to avoid contact while the defender slides under him. If Coop hits the free throw it is a 4 point game. Instead UF gets the ball and hits a trey - 6 point swing at a critical point of the game and the game is basically over.

All year long this team has not had a break go their way.

Could we compete in the NIT? I know we have tried before and we got took out. I am just wondering? Anybody got any thoughts on us being there? RTR!

The frustrating thing to me is it has been that way all year. I have wondered if CAG would rant and rave about calls like some coaches do if it would help. This call did not determine the outcome of the game. It was just a good example of how we have been on the short end of the officiating all year.
