Smith made the announcement at his high school and selected the Crimson Tide over Auburn.

The Atlanta St. Pius cornerback has been rated among the top 50 players in the nation by various recruiting websites.

CNS runs a recruiting network. His staff continues to throw the castnet and bring home the quality kids and oh by the way, they are great athletics, the best the country has to offer.

A big reason why Smith selected the Crimson Tide was Saban's history of success at developing defensive backs. He wants to be another great one from Tuscaloosa.

"That played a part in my decision," Smith said. "But it's not just that. It's the history and tradition of Alabama, from Bear Bryant all the way to now. There's so much there. And Alabama does has a history of developing players

CNS knew that recruiting the Atlanta area was important for Alabama. That is why The Tide played in the kick off games in 08 and 09. To build a presence in that city for recruiting. Of course playing in those 2 championship games at the Ga. Dome helped.
