How did Alabama's offensive line play against Wisconsin? Nick Saban weighs in

"We could do better," Saban said. "I think any time you get sacked, you didn't pass protect very well. I do think that you have to give Wisconsin's edge rushers [credit]. Their two defensive ends are really, really good rushers — very quick, especially in passing situations.

"But that's something that we definitely need to improve on, especially on the edges, and the quarterback's got to do a better job of not taking sacks when we do get pressure. Get the ball out of your hand, make a guy miss, take off running, whatever you've got to do. But we don't want to have negative plays. It usually stops drives, so that's something we certainly need to work on."

One other problem for the line was penalties.

Robinson, Pierschbacher and backup offensive lineman Bradley Bozeman were all flagged for holding. Robinson also had a false start...

I'm hoping this gets corrected before we get the big boys on the schedule.

These penalties need to be corrected but by the coaching staff. Work is needed for them to learn to not jump, and get the first step and protect right. If they can not beat the man on the other side be man enough to say I can' beat him I need help. RTR!
