Chick-fil-A in Northport is partnering with Crimson Tide Sports Marketing, putting one location on the West Lower Concourse near Gates 15-19 and the other in the student section near gate 29.

They will serve chicken sandwiches, waffle fries and fudge nut brownies, along with Coca-Cola products. The student section will only serve chicken sandwiches and beverages.

Ashley Gill, owner and operator of the Northport location, said they started sponsoring Alabama athletics when the restaurant opened in July 2009, though she said it wasn't a good time to start serving food at the football games. Now that the partnership is up and running, she is anxious for the season to kick off.

"It just seemed like a good fit," Gill said. "Hopefully it will be well-received. Chick-fil-A and Crimson Tide Sports Marketing have always worked well together."

Me likey. Love some Chick-fil-A. It is one of my Gameday foods each year. I try to eat something during the season to match as close as possible who were are playing that day: fried chicken or chicken sandwich for the barn ("eagles"), barbecue pork for Arky, jambalaya or corndogs for the Who, etc.

I haven't really come up with one for state yet. You just can't find a real good dog meat distributor in south Alabama.  Angry
