Wow!

Quote
Ohio State is still No. 1, but there was a lot of shuffling in the latest Associated Press Top 25 football poll.

While the Buckeyes still hold the top spot, the lost their unanimous hold on No. 1. Michigan State picked up two first-place votes and moved up to No. 4 from the fifth spot a week ago after they beat Oregon on Saturday night.

The Ducks dropped five spots from No. 7 to No. 12 after their loss to the Spartans.

And more. UT, Arkansas, & Miss. State fall out of poll.

Quote
Earlier this week, after defending national champion Ohio State ran away from Virginia Tech 42-24 on the road, Arkansas coach Bret Bielema criticized the No. 1 Buckeyes' remaining schedule.

"Ohio State's ranked No. 1, and they have one game remaining on their schedule that has anybody ranked right now," Bielema told reporters earlier this week. "We're going to play eight straight opponents that are ranked."

Not anymore.

Quote
The rest of the country, and perhaps the College Football Playoff selection committee, don't figure to have a short memory when it comes to the results. Beating Arkansas and Auburn doesn't figure to mean as much as we thought it would.

Well if I was looking at what the those playoff people will be seeing, I would say well Toledo beat Arkysas so they don't count for anything if you beat them. RTR!

Our strength of schedule is getting weaker and weaker. People will be calling us the OSU of the SEC...

I was thinking the same thing. Arkansas threw the ball like 50 times, what the heck?
Plus, Auburn's credibility is apparently in the toilet after dropping 12 slots in a WIN. Maybe we should play some MAC teams to rebuild the SEC's reputation.

Bama will likely get beat by Arkansas if they throw the ball 50 times against us...

A few observations.

1)  Auburn should have fallen all the way out of the poll after that performance.

2)  I think Bielema was being just a little too clever for his own good.  He wanted to work on the passing game to give them a little more balance going into SEC play, but he forgot to win the game first.

3)  Everything Bielema said about OSU was/is true.  Their loss does not change any of that.

Les is flying high again.
Seems that every time he gets a big win, he follows it with a big loss.
I'm afraid to say it, but I believe the Aubs will win.   Banging your head against the wall.

I'm feeling the same thing. I picked Auburn in the pickems. This game will come down to who has the golden horseshoe last.

Exactly.  Just hope it's a single horseshoe.
And hope it dies after this game!

My prediction: LSU rolls Auburn, then inexplicably loses to Syracuse.
