I am picking the Royals over the Mets in the World Series. KC has great team play, timely hitting, team speed, was in the WS last year, & they have home field advantage. Intersting match-up.

Pulling for the Royals. I expect Daniel Murphy will revert to the mean and struggle in the WS but the Mets have some serious pitchers.

I am pulling for the Mets for the reason of the NL. I do hope the Braves go hire Mattingly. RTR!

Good & young. Reminds me of the 1969/1973 Mets with Seaver, Koosman, Matlack, Tug McGraw, Nolan Ryan, Gary Gentry.

Crap, I don't really like either one of these teams. I have never liked the Mets, and I have had a problem with KC since the ALCS last year. I'll be for the umpires.

Totally agree about Mets. What if the umps blow it, what are you going to do?

I like KC but I kind of liked the Rangers more if my Orioles don't make the playoff. NL of course is the Braves. RTR!

I do, it's called my dislike of the Mets. I have been to Royals games in the past. Saw Roger Clemens pitch & strike out 15.

Roger Clemens was like Phil Niekro you could not catch up to his off speed pitches. RTR!

I lived in St. Louis when they had what locals called the I-70 Series with the Royals.  Of course, I was on the side of the Cardinals, and the Royals won.

And who can like the Mets.

So you see my quandary?

Cardinals blew a 3-1 Series lead & KC won Series. Fascinating series. Both teams loaded with players. Cardinals with Darrell Porter, Willie McGee, Wizard of Oz, Andujar, Pendleton, Jack Clark, Tudor, etc.
Royals had George Brett, Frank Wilson, Hal McRae, Saberhagen, Quissenberry, Leibrandt, & others. KC was a very veteran team & this was basically their last hurrah.
