I think the SECCG with UGa a few years ago was really for the NC that season. This game has that flavor to it. Whoever wins is probably the best team in the country. It's a matter of staying healthy enough to finish off the rest of the season from there.

It looks likely that LSU is a pretender.  They have the lines and the best RB, but lack the coaching and the QB.  They'll have success, but LOTS of errors.  Unless we match them error-for-error, we'll win easily.  We just need to play with confidence and consistency.  LSU will try to give it away.

DUH!

The big day is almost here. 2Stater, hscoach and their friends arrived some time late last night so we kick off our big weekend today with some golf and basketball along with a good meal at Bob's Victory Grill before the basketball game.

Since the washout for our tailgate happened we are moving our tailgate to the New Orleans Steak and Seafood House located on highway 82 in Northport. This will provide us a nice place to socialize as they have good food and plenty of televisions for a gameday atmosphere. If any of you are in town around the noon hour or later Saturday please join us, the more the merrier.

Their address is:

824 McFarland Blvd, Northport, AL 35476

It is East of the highway 82 and 69 intersection in Northport (approximately 1 mile on the left going eastward from the intersection). It is across the highway from the old Woods and Water sporting goods store (now a pawn shop).

I will not be able to make the CRS get together in Northport. I would like to make it but I have been offered a game day experience I can not turn down. My wife and I have been invited to the game with Skybox tickets. The same guy owns a luxury hunting camp in Eutaw. We will drive down Saturday morning to Eutaw. We will travel together to the game and go straight to the box which is catered to tailgate. We will spend the night at the camp and return home Sunday afternoon.

I am very excited about the game and think we will win because we are the better team. I hope everyone has a good weekend and enjoy the game.

Gees, pmull, a real trooper would invite his CRS buddies to the SKYBOX!!  My research on ducks could open the door for you to get invited to Eutaw for a hunting trip or 2.  But that's okay; we understand!!

addendum:

Anyhow, pmull or not, I'll join you guys in Northport.  Sounds like a great spot!

Hate you can't come but I do understand, money talks and s*** walks. Laughing Just kidding, sounds like a great trip for you and wife. I wonder if it's the nice camp right below the Dollarhide Hunting Club. Anyway, enjoy and I hate you couldn't attend. RTR!!

The hunting camp is named Stone Hill Hunting Resort. I have never been there but I hear it is very nice. The website for it is below. The owner uses it most for himself and his family.

The Skybox is in the North End Zone in the East corner is my understanding. He sent me a copy of the Skybox holder LSU game newsletter. Look at the menu for the box.

Nice menu, thanks for posting.  And it's good to see Conecuh Sausage make it into Bryant Denny.

I hope you guys were just WATCHING the basketball and not trying to play it...

What a football game and most of all, what a weekend. I hate it for any of you that could have joined in the fun with us this weekend and didn't make it. It all started Friday morning and ended late last night after the game and what a blast of a time that Mrs. J and I had. Getting to meet hscoach after reading his Hey Coach thread after each game was a big treat for me, he's as good of a guy as his Hey Coach threads are. Having 2 and Chech together is better entertainment than you can buy anywhere, there is something going on all the time with those two and most of it is very funny stuff. I need to add in Gil and Brian, 2"s and hscoach's friends, as well. Gil had a pocketful of jokes and Brian wore the LSU colors, what a blast they were.

I don't think we could have packed in more entertainment than we did in that small time frame, it was really amazing because so much of it was just a coincidence that it happened, especially our waitresses. Thanks again fellows for sharing your time with Mrs. J and me, it will be long remembered.
