I'm not impressed with Jimbo Fisher if he goes to LSU.

I can't imagine why Jimbo would consider it, unless he just wants a change of scenery because of all of the things going on in his personal life.  He has it made at FSU and will likely just use LSU to get a raise.

Really the only area where Les needs to improve is QB development.  They should have been getting their QB ready in the first part of the season instead of just riding Fournette game in and game out against lesser opponents.  With even a modest threat of a passing game LSU would be tough.

That's what they've been talking about on Finebaum. The only knock that he has on Les is his lack of QB recruiting and development. I think he has recruited QB's fine, but just like with Bama, they all aren't going to be great. Heck, we even went after Brandon Harris.

Jimbo might want to leave the tough ACC and go play teams much easier than Miami, Wake Forest, Syracuse, BC, & others. Easier to play Alabama, Arkansas, Auburn, Ole Miss, Georgia, A&M, and others in the SEC.

He just received a raise and contract extension a few months ago, so I doubt he gets more money.

Les Miles & the LSU offense.

Quote
On first-and-goal from the 1-yard line, Darrel Williams rushed up the gut for no gain.

On second down, Leonard Fournette rushed up the gut and fumbled as LSU lost 4 yards.

On third down, Williams ran again — this time for 2 yards.

On fourth down after a timeout, LSU ran a toss play to Fournette. Quarterback Brandon Harris’ pitch was off the mark. The ball hit Fournette near the shoulder pads, and it bounced on the ground 9 yards shy of the goal line — the final whimper from the Tigers’ suddenly struggling offense.

Four cracks from the 1-yard line. Four runs. Two fumbles. A loss of 8 yards.

In his presser, Les looked like a man who knows it's over but who can't say that because he still has a game to coach.

The silence of the LSU AD is shameful.  Either get rid of Les or come out and support him.  The fact that the AD is silent is as good an indication as anything that Les is a goner.

I agree with most of the comments adding that with his winning record and with all the coaching vacancies out there, some school is going to grab Les up quickly.

I could see Les getting the HC nod at most any of them except for the USCw job.

Yeah, he could end up at VT (I think Foster gets it), Miami, So. Carolina, or somewhere else as the coaching dominoes start to fall. For instance, if Memphis or Houston coach leaves, Les might go there. Les is 62 years old & might be happy to be an analyst on the SEC Network, ESPN, CBS, etc. He could work with Verne during games, that would be interesting.

A piece on ESPN says LSU had the nation's top recruiting class this year.  True?

If he worked with Verne, we would need a translator.

These recruiting rankings remind me of the days when we had split national champions with the AP and coaches poll.  We need to have BCS recruiting rankings.

No worries, once our class is finalized the recruiting sites will give all of our recruits an extra star for being Saban approved.
