LSU has all the talent in the world, and is getting left behind.

Sure the 2011 BCSCG still gets under their "claw."  

But after straght losses to Ole Miss and Arky, with better talent, they know they're getting left behind.

LSU has more players in the NFL than any other school. Fans are wondering why LSU is not doing better and more competitive for the SEC title & NC. I have to admit, that's a good question.

I dont't think they could keep him now even if they decide that's what they want.  They've essentially given a vote of no confidence this week.  I think we'll see a new coach in Red Stick next year.

... and it's too bad.  I've always thought Les was looney, but he teaches in a simplistic manner so players know the game and game plan.  Not a bad strategy.  Too complex and they are lost the first year or so.

Anyhow, his wit and colorful way of expressing himself will be missed.  Now LSU will likely join the ranks of HUNH idiocy.

Yeah, as intense as the Bama-LSU rivalry has been over the last decade, I've never really disliked LSU.  Miles is so goofy, so different from every other coach in the league, it's kind of hard not to like him.

And I think you're right about the HUNH.  I think they'll go for an offensive minded coach.

I hope the team shows out against A&M Saturday. That is likely Les' last game unless they let him finish out with the bowl game. I'd like to see him go out in style if he is let go.

This could back fire on LSU. Les has been consistent for 11 years. He has fielded teams that are competitive in the very difficult SEC West. There are 4 other teams in the SEC West that need a new coach worst than LSU.

Miles is better than 75% when it comes to winning football games through his tenure.  If they fire him now they will be considered in the same light as Tenrsea when they fired Fat Phil.  The only difference?  Fat Phil won the SECCG the year before he got fired...
