Stub Hub and Buying Tickets

I just purchased 2 tickets to Tide/Arkansas game from Stub Hub for my teenaged son. I have purchased tickets from someone called Big Red before, anyone familiar with him? Also, who else would you recommend for tickets besides Stub Hub? I'm getting ready to purchase tickets to LSU & Auburn games, maybe Tennessee. I just wonder if I should wait until the seson gets going before buying more tickets. LSU & Auburn could fall aprt early and the price of tickets should drop, especially the Auburn game, if they are like 3-3 after 6 games. Give me some ideas. Finally, what luck or experiences have you had at buying tickets on game day in T-Town? Thanks guys.

Tickets are generally cheaper the week of the game.  Even last year with Auburn undefeated, ticket prices fell from about $250-300/each to about $125-150 each a few days before the game.

Check AAAtix in Hoover for tickets. I have bought and sold tickets there.

Are you talking about tickets online (Stub Hub) or from scalpers at the game? Thanks.

My daughter and son in law were scammed by someone on stubhub.  Lost 300.00 3 years ago.  It was their fault in a way because they were too trusting. Just use caution with these sites is all I'm suggesting

Tickets from individuals (not necessarily scalpers) are generally cheaper the closer it gets to the game.  Some "week of" places to look include Craigslist and eBay if you don't hear about any via word of mouth.  But yeah, also 30 minutes and less before the game the scalper tickets also become a good deal.

Before you are allowed to sale tickets on that site, you must enter a personal credit card. That way if you fail to ship the tickets to the buyer, they charge your credit card and pay back the purchaser. I have a good rating with stubhub. Did they file a complaint with stubhub to try to recoup their money lost? Stubhub charges 15% to seller and buyer. That is how they make their money.

Before you are allowed to sale tickets on that site, you must enter a personal credit card. That way if you fail to ship the tickets to the buyer, they charge your credit card and pay back the purchaser. I have a good rating with stubhub. Did they file a complaint with stubhub to try to recoup their money lost? Stubhub charges 15% to seller and buyer. That is how they make their money.

I've used eBay a couple times, and have generally been able to find tickets cheaper there than on StubHub.

I have used both StubHub and eBay and eBay has been 10-20% cheaper.

I've always thought Stubhub had Crackhead prices.  I've bought on Ebay for big games and had good luck, and I've bought from Scalpers more times that I care to admit.  I've gotten lucky a few times buying at the stadium, and I've gotten raked over the coals a few times.
