Quote
The elder Ridley wanted his brother to join him at Alabama. After he caught two touchdowns in a 38-0 blowout win in the Cotton Bowl, he was asked whether he'd use Alabama's incredible success during his freshman season as part of his pitch to Cavin.

"He knows," Ridley told AL.com. "He knows he can win championships if he comes here." ...

He'd rather play for Muschamp's offense?   Huh?

Maybe simply, "He rather play...".

Surely we offered him a full scholarship, not a grayshirt.

He knows he will have to work if he comes to Alabama. He may have the desire to put in the work or time it takes to be duh man like Calvin. I don't know but I do know that is why a lot of players don't come here. RTR!

I can understand not wanting to follow your older brother, having one myself, but surely Cavin has his pick of teams...  Muschamp doesn't come to mind when  you think offense...  even McElwain has his work cut out for him cleaning up the mess Muschamp left at Florida.

We already have three WR recruits for this class. That might play into his decision. If I were him I would be concerned with Muschamps ability to develop an offensive system that will work. He could not do it at Florida.

Yeah, seems to me that he committed long term financial suicide (NFL aspirations).

Even Spurrier had a hard time finding a decent QB willing to come to South Carolina.

Not sure on that one but there might have been something offered to push him back one season. Unless he's as good or better than his brother, the grayshirt would be his best option. He hasn't signed the paper yet but if he can play for Kiffen, he would be a fool to go elsewhere. We don't know if Kiffen will be here either, just saying. I think he will be back but tomorrow hasn't arrived yet. If he can keep his nose clean, I would like to see his contract extended a couple of years.

We're pretty stacked at WR already and have 3 good commitments in this class.  Maybe he didn't want to compete for playing time. Maybe he wants to forge his own path instead of following big brother. Who knows?
