It is pretty fancy.  I think I got it for free when I switched from Dish Network.  My DVR with Dish went out, and they wanted to charge me a couple hundred or so for a new one, even though I was leasing the equipment from them.  I had the thing for 7 or 8 years, and more than paid for the cost of a new one through the lease fee.  I was getting junk mail everyday with good deals if I would switch to DirecTV, so I did.  But get this:  now Dish sends me junk mail all the time offering me a free DVR if I will switch back.  Idiots.

I'll share my DirectTV story when we get a break. 

I was with DirecTV for years, but then Dish was the first to get the local channels so I switched.  Then I was with Dish for years until they tried to tell me I had to buy a replacement for the equipment I had been leasing for 7 years.
