How do you "fix" the FG kicking? Take him behind the stadium and beat the snot out of him, get a player from the soccer team to try out, or actually recruit a couple of kickers next year?

Aren't there any more Tiffins around?  Van kicked 135 of 135 PAT's and holds Bama's longest field goal and killed Auburn in the 1985 Iron Bowl.  His son, Leigh, kicked even more PAT's

Eddie Pinata, or whatever his name was that was 100% committed to Bama. ended up at Florida. Griff would be riding the pine if EP had been 101% committed.

E-cred from me too.

With our luck, and with Preacher's prayers, the next kick will disappear into the clouds.

 :yawn:A few extra notes:
First:  ED O wants to talk about penalties, here are a few that were not called.  1,  Holding on the receiver on the interception.  2,  Holding on the LG.  3.  Hands to the face mask by the DL.  4.  Holding on the defense on the punt.  5.  Offensive pass interference on Averett.   6.  Face mask on the TE during the scrum on LSU's sideline.  Also, #93 on the sideline could have been called for unsportsman like conduct.  7.  Holding on Allen on a pass play.

Second:  Bama missed 2 crucial blocks, one on the first play of the game by the receiver and the second on the screen by Robinson.  There were others.

Third:  LF touched the ball 18 times in the game and there were only 3 solo tackles on him.  That means Bama was flying to the ball.

Four:  LSU had only given up 2 runs of over 20 yards prior to this game.  Bama had 3.

Five:  The announcers keep saying how this defensive team is built to stop spread teams.  Well this was a team built for power running the football and Bama stopped them pretty well.

True Coach. The corndogs obviously didn't want to acknowledge those. I didn't catch all of those, but enough to know that things were sliding on both sides.

Excellent, coach.

BTW, did you see the block by Robinson on the 4th-down play late in the game??  Worthy of a look.  Cam Robinson drove his man 10 yards down the field and out of bounds.

Was that on Bo's run?

Yes, it was the first play of the fourth quarter.  It's on the video halfway down the page of this link: Click here for link

Quote
Alabama was facing a fourth-and-1 at the LSU 33-yard line with the game still scoreless.  It was the drive that ended with Jalen Hurts' go-ahead touchdown run.

So this was a big moment, and running back Bo Scarbrough picked up the first down with a 10-yard run to the left.

He was aided by Robinson, who was one of two blockers leading the way. After engaging with an LSU defensive back around the line of scrimmage, Robinson pushed that defensive back around 15 yards downfield. Robinson eventually shoved him out of bounds as Scarbrough ran behind him.

Good stuff!
