Gary Danielson: Alabama 'should be alarmed' after LSU win
"LSU has pretty much matched up with Alabama in 21 of the 22 positions," CBS analyst says.

Actually, Danielson is right.
And he did us a favor pointing it out.
GD: "I also think there is a tape - a blueprint - out there on how to force Alabama to play left-handed."
LSU showed us how vulnerable we are on offense when the 'roll-out right' is taken away.  Jalen almost never rolls left to throw.

I made this point in a thread a few days ago, but can't remember where.

LSU showed other teams how to at least disrupt Bama's offense. The good news for Bama, though, is that not many teams have the athletes to do what LSU did.  I doubt Bama will be held to less than 20 points again this year, and also doubt that anyone but perhaps Clemson or Louisville is capable of scoring more than 20 on Bama.

In other words, 17 is ours.

Kiffin has taken note of this, as well, I'm sure. I see him changing some things around to offset the crashing of the ends. Look for more running up the middle, particularly against MSU. They don't have the athletes to stand up to that. If we execute doing that, the outside will open up.

True, but the roll-out option is the key.  MANY QBs can't pass effectively rolling left, Jalen included (apparently), but the roll-out-right option is a critical part of our offense.  We're crippled if we can't roll right.  Until Jalen shows he can roll left, square his shoulders, and deliver passes effectively ...

Meanwhile, Jalen still needs to show he can roll right, square his shoulders, and deliver passes effectively ...

If we're gashing them with the run, why pass?

Jalen needs to learn how to throw the ball. Period.

LSU dared him to throw the ball from the pocket, and he couldn't do it. He's got to improve his accuracy.

True.  He's still a freshman, and improving weekly.

The LSU blueprint included a group of blue chip defenders that few teams in the nation have. The blueprint only works if you have the elite talent to match up with us at the point of attack and on the edges. That is easy to plan and hard to execute.

Our concern is still ourselves. If we continue to play well we will be hard to beat.

One thing I noticed was that when Jalen can't throw and even a team as talented as LSU holds us to 10 points we still ran the ball. We left points on the field when we should have at least 10 more points. They had the boxed stack like tight wads of loaf bread on a counter shelf. So the Blue print I see is if we can't throw the best way to stop us is to put 13 men in the box. RTR!

That's true. The game was inches (maybe a lot of inches on Griffith's missed FG) away from being 20-0, and nobody would be talking about the low score. LSU's defense deserves a lot of credit for the goal line stand.
