Hypothetically, who would be Alabama's toughest playoff matchup?
Alabama is still No. 1 in college football playoff.

In truth, we're likely to play Ohio State in the championship.  Assuming OSU beats Michigan (whose QB has a broken collar bone), they'll be #2.  OSU will play #3 (prolly Clemson).

Alabama will play #4 Louisville (prolly), and beat the snot out of them, then wait for OSU in the championship.

Bama wins CHAMPIONSHIP 24-0.

What will be interesting is if Penn State wins out. Where would that leave OSU then, even if they do beat Michigan? Penn State controls their own destiny in that division and only has  games left with Rutgers and Mich St.

Yeah, that's being discussed on Mike-and-Mike this morning.  They said, "Alabama would embarrass PSU, like they did MSU last year."  The other said, "They'd embarrass most teams this year."

I'm watching TWC. Cantore just told Stephanie Abrams that Bama would beat the Cleveland Browns.

Either OSU or Clemson have offenses that, if they get hot and lucky, can score points on Bama's defense.

All of the attention we are getting for our dominant position in this year's college football landscape raises an interesting issue that may be fun to discuss. More and more, as pundits discuss the approach of the final CFP ranking, they are measuring teams' worthiness not on the basis of best record or how they look in general, but rather they are referencing their chances of beating Bama. I wonder if this thinking is seeping into the minds of the selection committee. It's not a trivial question. At what point does the committee start veering away from a search for the "four best teams", and start looking for the three teams that match up against Bama the best. For example, feeling that both our pass defense and our pass offense are weaknesses, would they tilt toward  teams with an accurate passer and a pass>run offense?

On then hand tis is unfair. On the other, it would be really cool if they did this and gave us and the nation the ultimate test of Bama's greatness.

Discuss.

In truth this is a chance I would love to see is another Alabama beats PSU. Of course I might have to do final rites over MD who love that so much he might leave us.  Cheesy, RTR!

I think this is a great discuss ALT. I personally have thought for a while that every sportscaster, writer and committee member is trying to figure which team can beat Alabama and that is who is going to be playing us. They are hating thinking here is another back to back NC for Alabama. I may be wrong be I fully feel this way. RTR!

ATU, I think there is little doubt that the committee thinks it's Alabama and the little 3. They are just trying to figure out which little 3 will give Bama more bang for the buck, IMO.

If Alabama plays well, then none of the top-10 teams can stay on the field with Bama; NONE.

When that 98-0 finally happens, we'll have to have a Mega-CRS get together to celebrate. We'll have to get someplace nice like the Motel 6 in Hoover.
