Everyone happy with our not to lose play calling on offense now? What about the constant 4 man pass rush? Just wondering. Hurts was so handcuffed by the coaching I feel for him. They wouldn't let him take any chances.

Already looking forward to next year. Hurts did just what he was instructed to do, which wasn't much. I like him, but if you don't trust your QB why is he playing? Hurts can do the job in my opinion.

I still can't believe they came back and took the lead again.  I thought we had them when Jalen scored.  Their last drive was one miracle play after another.  They earned it.

This may be against the board rules but if it is, so be it.  If SC wants to make me stand in the corner or even kick me out of the clubhouse then that's ok too but I just have to respond to these two posts.

MD, you truly are a moron sometimes.  I wasn't ecstatic about the play calling at times but overall it wasn't as bad as you seem to feel.  Hurts WAS NOT handcuffed last night. He had basically one week to work with Sark to develop the plays that they were comfortable running due to his experience AND the ability of the Clemson defense to stop Hurts from running and throwing against them.  Kiffin called the Washington game where Hurts threw only for 57 yards and ZERO TD's while Bo and company rushed for 269 yards and two TD's.  Sark called plays against Clemson and Hurts threw for 131 yards and a TD while Bo and  company rushed for 221 yards and three TD's.  Might I remind you that Kiffin had the responsibility of working with Hurts day in and day out ALL SEASON LONG and his play calling truly did handcuff Hurts against the Husky's.  Hurts actually didn't play that badly last night.  Quite the contrary in fact.  There were many times that his receivers were covered up tighter than a load on a flat-bed tractor trailer so instead of taking a sack, he managed to throw the ball away.  Pretty smart, huh?  You have to give credit where it is due in  the game last night and Clemson is due a lot for their defensive performance.  They put forth a very good effort to limit our throws because they are a VERY GOOD defense, they were more successful than most teams we've played this year.  No players or coaches for Bama have a reason to hang their heads IMO.  We have had a very good run to be proud of.  We met our match last night in part because we found a team that could match our efforts and even surpass them somewhat due to the lack of depth on our DLine.  We finally just wore out and that is why we allowed that last score by Clemson.

Flame me all you want, I don't care.  I've stated my position so I'm done and will not argue with you further about this game.

Thanks, NALT.
Losing a championship game hurts, but losing class and blaming coaches/players makes it feel worse.  The Washington In-Game Thread was full of complaints that we didn't run the ball enough; this one the opposite.  Whining isn't classy in Alabama.

Thanks for posting your feelings about the comments.  Nothing's perfect.  Guess we'll always have a Negative Nellie among the fans.

Once again, I had a house full of company, so I had to put the computer away, and couldn't participate in the in-game thread.

We played a heck of a game. Clemson played better. The refs blew it. 2 TD's on illegal picks. Shaking my da*n head. Saban won't do it, but a complaint should be filed on the officiating. It's not like they were questionable. They were totally obvious.

Anyway, Clemson made the plays they had to down the stretch and they are nat'l champions. Congrats to them and Dabo. We will be in the mix again next year. I doubt Clemson will.

It's stinging mighty bad this morning, but the clock is ticking for the healing process.....................................slowly.  Sad

Don't forget about the pass interference call "in the end zone" right before the game winning TD.  There was NO interference in the end zone.  It happened about the 2 or 3 yard line...
