This may be against the board rules but if it is, so be it.  If SC wants to make me stand in the corner or even kick me out of the clubhouse then that's ok too but I just have to respond to these two posts.

MD, you truly are a moron sometimes...

Flame me all you want, I don't care.  I've stated my position so I'm done and will not argue with you further about this game.
NALT, as for rules, you can express your opinion without personal attacks.  This isn't the place for a flame war.

As for your opinion, I pretty much agree.  Sark did a better job against Clemson than Kiffin did against Washington.

JH still needs time to develop as a passer -- it will come, but he's just a true freshman.  The few downfield passing attempts by JH were terribly overthrown; JH needed to put more air under the ball to allow his receiver to fight for the ball.  Some time in Spring Practice, plus Summer 7-on-7 drills, should help with immensely with his timing and accuracy.

(Any question as to JH's development as a passer during this year would go to Kiffin's responsibility, but I don't put any blame there either.  By the time JH was selected to be the QB, the season had already started, and it was "get ready for the next game." A coach can only teach so much before a player's head will explode, and JH was doing a remarkable job for a true freshman leading his team through an undefeated season.)

Aside from the refs, which 2 points out, and Clemson's much more experienced QB, I think the reason Clemson won was because eventually the Bama defense wore out.  That was Clemson's plan all along, get upwards of 80 plays and see what happens then.

Bama has been moving this season towards a more hurry up offense, because it does not give the defense time to make adjustments.  While it has its advantages, it also has disadvantages.  In this game, it allowed Bama to make some plays when Clemson wasn't ready, but it also increased the number of possessions, which ultimately worked against Bama in the end.

It might be better, when playing a team like Clemson, to let some clock run between offensive plays, before getting to the line of scrimmage, especially when your team has a double digit lead.

Everyone happy with our not to lose play calling on offense now? What about the constant 4 man pass rush? Just wondering. Hurts was so handcuffed by the coaching I feel for him. They wouldn't let him take any chances.

Already looking forward to next year. Hurts did just what he was instructed to do, which wasn't much. I like him, but if you don't trust your QB why is he playing? Hurts can do the job in my opinion.

This may be against the board rules but if it is, so be it.  If SC wants to make me stand in the corner or even kick me out of the clubhouse then that's ok too but I just have to respond to these two posts.

MD, you truly are a moron sometimes.  I wasn't ecstatic about the play calling at times but overall it wasn't as bad as you seem to feel.  Hurts WAS NOT handcuffed last night. He had basically one week to work with Sark to develop the plays that they were comfortable running due to his experience AND the ability of the Clemson defense to stop Hurts from running and throwing against them.  Kiffin called the Washington game where Hurts threw only for 57 yards and ZERO TD's while Bo and company rushed for 269 yards and two TD's.  Sark called plays against Clemson and Hurts threw for 131 yards and a TD while Bo and  company rushed for 221 yards and three TD's.  Might I remind you that Kiffin had the responsibility of working with Hurts day in and day out ALL SEASON LONG and his play calling truly did handcuff Hurts against the Husky's.  Hurts actually didn't play that badly last night.  Quite the contrary in fact.  There were many times that his receivers were covered up tighter than a load on a flat-bed tractor trailer so instead of taking a sack, he managed to throw the ball away.  Pretty smart, huh?  You have to give credit where it is due in  the game last night and Clemson is due a lot for their defensive performance.  They put forth a very good effort to limit our throws because they are a VERY GOOD defense, they were more successful than most teams we've played this year.  No players or coaches for Bama have a reason to hang their heads IMO.  We have had a very good run to be proud of.  We met our match last night in part because we found a team that could match our efforts and even surpass them somewhat due to the lack of depth on our DLine.  We finally just wore out and that is why we allowed that last score by Clemson.

Flame me all you want, I don't care.  I've stated my position so I'm done and will not argue with you further about this game.

An abrupt end to the college football season.  Sad

Most of the offense is coming back. Hurts should develop as a passer. If he doesn't, Tua is waiting to challenge him. The defense may drop off a little with so much talent leaving, but it will still be a Saban defense full of elite players. The players will play with a chip on their shoulders next year.

We'll be back. Clemson won't.

It would be best for Clemson that they don't meet Bama for the best of three.  They would probably be embarrassed like LSU was when we played them for the BCSNC...
