I can remember years ago when we could only dream of the position we now have ourselves in.
Thank you! Mal Moore and CNS!

I have to say with the talent we pull in every year, there is no reason we don't make the CFP every year. One thing we have to do though to beat offenses like Clemson we have got to have 2 separate defensive lines that can play to rest each other. Can our coaches produce this type of linemen to play one quarter and then rest knowing there is a 2nd line that is just as good? This is my question. RTR!

I disagree respectfully Preacher.  We need a dominate defense like we had this year.  We also need an offense, including OC, that can move the ball beyond three plays.  They need to make first downs and keep the clock running.  Dabo had said that he thought they could win the game against us this year if they ran 80 plays.  We beat them defending 98 plays but the 99th offensive play beat us.  That is because our offense was unable to run the clock out.

I do agree with the dominant defense as I said about the 2 defensive lines. I also wish for, and agree for an offense to have more than just 3 and out but to do that we have to have a great O-line. I am just not sure how we do the O-line to get that greatness we need to move the ball 3 and 4 yards at a punch. I know we won a lot of games since the arrival of CNS by pounding and forcing our Will on the other team. One thing thing we need to eliminate is the Cam Robinson regular of jumping off sides. I just hope this year to see the greatness in the O-line i guess. RTR!

The dominance of our D was in part due to our O possessing the ball about 35mins per game.  That gives the D time to rest.  But I do agree more depth on the D-line would also help.

O-line has not been great in last couple of years.  That is why I did not worry when Coach Mario C left.  I never thought he did a great job with the OL.

Remember, if we'd been able to convert another three 3rd downs in the second half, we would have beaten Clemson.

I think our D will be effective in 2017 season in part because I don't think we will be facing any elite QBs, except for maybe the guy that transferred to the Barn.
