I was not able to access the CRS site for 2 days. Was the site down for some reason? I was able to access other websites on the internet, just not CRS.

Apparently there was a hardware failure at Amazon where the server is located, which corrupted some database indexes.  I tried to get on this morning and noticed it was down.  Fortunately I was able to get everything repaired without too much trouble.  As far as I can tell, we did not lose any data.

I did however take this opportunity to double check that my nightly backup script is working.  All is well on that end too, so even had I not been able to repair the problem I could have restored a backup from Saturday night before the failure.  In that case we would have lost a few posts from Sunday though, so that is a last resort.

Funny, I joined woolyal this morning so I could email someone who was a member there and at CRS and find out what was wrong. I was worried something might have happened to Supercoach or if he just got tired of our idiocy and shut it down. I had checked the site twice before joining wooly. Then, before sending an email to you (2Stater) or Chechem, I checked here again and it was up and running. Good job SC, but you will still have to put up with our lunacy.

I got it today.  After I checked the site and saw that it was down, I checked that e-mail account to see if anyone reported it.  I am on a different computer these days and I hadn't added that account yet.  I have added it now.

I am so glad to be back. Thanks SC, I sent a message on Twitter, and Facebook page cause I didn't have any e-mail addresses. It was funny now that it is fixed every time I tried to get on the site it said try again and if it don't work contact the administrator. I was like how do I do that cause I can't get on to contact him, lol. OK thankful it is fixed Sc well done my friend. RTR!
