TUSCALOOSA, Alabama - Florida beat reporter Rachel George, who writes for the Orlando Sentinel, has agreed for the second year in a row to answer questions heading into the Gators' game against Alabama.


The third-ranked Crimson Tide (4-0, 1-0) travels to No. 12 Florida (4-0, 2-0) for a 7 p.m. kickoff Saturday at Florida Field.


The Tide is coming off an impressive 38-14 win against then-No. 14 Arkansas. The Gators rolled a 48-10 win at Kentucky.


George will answer our questions throughout the week.


Question from Izzy Gould: Florida entered the season with plenty of questions after a coaching change. It appears the Gators could be the team to beat in the SEC East. Is this team for real?
 
Rachel George: Well, yes, maybe. Heading into the season, South Carolina seemed to be the team to beat and Georgia was the one everyone expected to be better. They were picked to finish first and second, respectively, in the division and still could.

Hmmm, seems like the Arkansas reporters said something pretty similar about the Hogs last week.

I'm looking forward to this game.  Let's face it; playing in Florida is much more difficult for our team than playing at home.  But if the Alabama players keep their heads on straight, play smart, and play with intensity, they should win at Florida.  It'll be fun to watch.

I may have to pull the patented "Chechem food poisoning" tactic Saturday. My nephew is getting married in Prattville. I thought I taught my brother better than that, to insist that his kids not get married on a SATURDAY DURING @#!&$!! FOOTBALL SEASON! Bunch of barners!

Are the pee wee games at night, say about 7:00? If so, then it prolly WAS my brother.
Wifey and I are already arguing about whether or not I have a radio to my ear during the reception. Any suggestions?

They start around 8 or 9 in the morning and go until about 5 in the evening.  We will be in one of those slots somewhere.  A couple of weeks ago we had to play an away game an hour and 15 minutes away, then drive back home and play another game that afternoon.  CRAZY I tell you!!!

Last Saturday I watched the Arkansas game on my phone.

Do you have one of those little bluetooth cell phone speaker/mic deals?  You could wear one of those and listen through your phone and nobody would even know it.  They would think you were just wearing the bluetooth thing in case you got a phone call.
