Yeah, all those "big" games against Baylor, Texas Tech, Kansas, Kansas State, Iowa State, and Missouri will be missed.

 


A lot of buildings don't acknowledge 13th floors because of bad luck. That tradition went right over the heads of SEC officials as they proudly threw a down-home Texas shindig to welcome the conference's 13th member: Texas A&M. 

"We're proud to be part of the SEC family today," A&M president Bowen Loftin said Tuesday. "Commissioner (Mike) Slive, the chair of the SEC, chancellors and presidents, (Florida president) Dr. Bernie Machen, joined us last night in College Station for what was like a wedding celebration. We're delighted to be part of this new family, and we're delighted to see Texas become part of SEC territory."

Now, media markets are all that matter. Slive said the SEC is putting together a "transition team" to help A&M with scheduling and league rules and all the other intricacies involved in putting a square peg in a round hole.



Are these chuckleheads the square peg or the round hole?
