LSU and Alabama gain ground on No. 1 Oklahoma in coaches poll

It's getting crowded at the top.

Oklahoma retained the No. 1 ranking in the USA TODAY coaches poll, but the Sooners' share of first-place votes is now just a plurality. Following an easy 62-6 romp over Ball State, OU got 27 of 59 No.1 nods to keep the top position by 11 points.

But several challengers were just as impressive. LSU, a 35-7 winner against Kentucky, edged SEC rival Alabama for the No. 2 ranking. The Tigers got 21 firsts, one more than last week, and wound up with two more poll points than the Crimson Tide. Alabama was tied for second with LSU and actually added three No. 1 votes to the seven garnered a week ago after a dominant performance at then-No. 12 Florida.

I think we should. You could notify the BCS and let them know about it and give them permission to use it as part of the BCS formula.
