Curious.  I didn't get exposed to a lot of music growing up and have slowly "cultured" myself.  By culturing, I don't necessarily mean classical or anything especially profound, just branching out to a larger variety and sections of history.  I mostly listen to the genre now known as Americana, largely as a result of an old friend being fairly successful in that genre today.  I'm going to see him (Jason Isbell) at the Ryman Auditorium tomorrow night, where he's doing 6 nights of sold-out shows this week.  He's done this for the past 4-5 years, and all the shows sell out within a day of going on sale.  Last weekend I saw Lyle Lovett and Robert Earl Keen do an acoustic show, and I thoroughly enjoyed that.

Other artists I enjoy:

Pretty much anyone on this list:  Click here for link
Tom Petty (still saddened by his passing)
The Rolling Stones
The Turnpike Troubadours
Brandy Carlile
The Eagles
Pink Floyd
Led Zeppelin
90s Grunge - Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, Nirvana, Alice in Chains, etc
Outlaw Country - Waylon, Johnny, Merle, etc
Neil Young and folkish rock
Tedeschi Trucks Band, Keb Mo and blueish rock/Americana
Traditional Alt-country that became Americana - Uncle Tupelo (which became Wilco and Son Volt), Ryan Adams, etc
Mainstream Rock/Hard Rock - Aerosmith, Metallica, etc - things that I listened to more as a teen and college student than now
Anything with good guitar - Clapton, Hendrix, and others above

I like most all types of music but my favorite is classic country, that you call "Outlaw" country.  I am not fond of the "new" country because it really isn't country, more like just bad pop music.  I can listen to opera but don't enjoy it primarily because I can't understand them since it is traditionally sung in a language other than 'Merican.  While I can listen to rap I refuse to listen to it if the lyrics are about raping cops and killing women or raping women and killing cops or something like that...

I worked at a radio station during high school: WABB in Mobile.  I was paid with records and albums, so I had my height in albums.  True.  Don't think I kept a one of them!

60s music.  Hardly any good music since then.

So Ricky and I agree.  Toast 4

Mrs 2 has Sirius Radio in her car. It stays on 60's music most of the time, when I'm in the car. I love the old 60's music. I liked the 70's rock also, particularly Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Ten Years After, and I loved BTO. I too, miss Tom Petty. Loved his music.

I like some Country, but never been a huge fan of a lot of it. HL posted some of Isbell's music over at the Woolly and I like him. There's a few other bands around with his style that I like.

Today's pop is mostly horrible. The only group I like much, oddly enough, is Imagine Dragons.

My younger brother and I, with a group of friends, would travel to see this guy, Michael Hedges, whenever he came to Birmingham or Nashville in the early and mid-90s, until he died in a car crash in 1997.  The youtube is just one example of his live performance, posted as a tribute by a fan, live video starts around the :28 second mark.
