To try and describe your pics is not possible. I remember when I was in the Army I seen sights from different things. Nature is so beautiful it is pitiful that one day all this beauty must end. RTR!
I agree Preacher but the beauty of this world will appear so ugly and bland compared to the beauty of Heaven.

Tuesday May 26, 2020.

Okay folks, try to focus.  I'm posting photos on several media for friends and family, and I'm not sure I can continue at this pace once the park opens officially.  It takes a while for each photo posted on CRS, because they must first be posted on Imgur (which is slow).  I know 2 can access Facebook, and wish you all could.  For now I'll continue posting here as often as I can.

As always, right click on photos and choose VIEW IMAGE for full view of photo.

Tuesday was crazy for wildlife.  It was overcast all day and cool, so critters were out and about.  I saw 12 moose before noon, including this Bull (early morning), and Mom with 2 Yearlings (late morning):

Young Bald Eagle on a carcass:

Grizzlies.  This one was walking Soda Butte Creek:

These 2, a Mom and yearling Cub, were right in the road near the Gardner River:

Rainbow and storm in Lamar Valley:

I look forward to being able to take photos while stopped, instead of snapping shots through the windshield.  But better than sitting at home!

What amazing photos, Chech. I'm not sure how you find so many critters. Just don't get far from your getaway car.

I wonder how Indians rode those hills on the sides and those mountains on horses? RTR!

Wednesday May 28, 2020.  Another great day for critter watching.

I drove into YNP before daybreak, and immediately found this Cinnamon Black Bear alongside the road.  Too dark for a decent photo, but wanted to show him.  He was the same bear we watched last June eating on a moose carcass (died in giving birth).

Jackpot; a white wolf near Trout Lake.  Still too dark, but a light-colored animal is easier to photograph in the darkness.  This is actually a very light-colored gray wolf, but looked pretty white to me.  It's number 1237, a male of the Mollie's Pack.  I'd never seen this one.  Cool.

Coyotes!  Not sure why, but lots of coyotes were active.  I saw 4, including one crossing the Yellowstone River Bridge.

Black Bears.  Saw several of them, and one with a cub.  The cub was a Cinnamon; mother a Black Bear.

Another.  No problem if they're eating grass.  Maybe vegan:

Late yesterday afternoon I spotted a porcupine walking in a pine thicket.  It came out into the open just enough for me to see those beady eyes.  Looks a bit like a beaver, eh?

Great pics Chech.  Question for you. The "cinnamon" cub, will it always be that color or will it turn more black as it ages?

Oh, and I hate coyotes...

Oh, and I hate coyotes...

No, like the cinnamon adult in the first photo, it will always be brown.  Like black labs with mixed-color puppies, there are several morphs in black bears.  Another thing you see is snout color varying from almost white to black.

I don't mind coyotes here.  They're like vultures.  They clean up what's left of a carcass after the wolves and bears get their fill.

Well, 2, there are several different bear photos.  The first photo was taken from about 10'.  I was in my car, and he wasn't.

Maybe that's a good thing.  Around here though, they will chase deer relentlessly.  They will continue following them until the deer are to tired to keep away from them and the coyote will literally start eating them while the deer continue to walk away. It is really disgusting to see.  I haven't personally but have seen pics from game cameras...  I'll kill every coyote I can here.

Never heard of coyotes killing deer like that.  But dogs in our neighborhood chase our deer relentlessly.  Maybe you can come over and kill a few of them too.
