It was 4 strokes, but MT lipped out a putt for birdie. He is at -16, Werenski and Finau are at -13.

MT with some bad luck. After the lip out. he chips up and nicks the flag, but goes 16-18 ft by and he makes bogey. His 4 shot lead is down to 1.

 Sad

I know what Nick Saban would say to him: "FINISH".

Yeah, he leaked oil coming in, but is still tied for the lead. Today's another day.

His interview afterwards didn't give me much confidence.  He said he was real nervous starting the day, but thought he played well.  He may have been unconscious the last 2 holes!  No doubt he'll be nervous as a cat this morning.  If he's still in the lead after 3 holes, maybe he can hang on.  But he might crash and burn.

I didn't see his interview yesterday, but he was very confident in Friday's. Hopefully, he'll wake up refreshed and loose.

One thing I'll say, Thompson is a clean-cut guy.  He's open and honest, freely tells about his limitations and fears.  One one hand it's refreshing to hear, but it also gives you an insight into a fragile personality who's uncomfortable in the lead of a tournament (and he said so).  Can't see that he's going to stay on top considering all that's going on in his head, doubt he slept, and his finishing holes didn't give me much confidence.  His only win was the 2013 Honda Classic, and he's only finished in the top-10 of tournaments 3 times since.

So I doubt the betters are rushing to pick him.  In other words, if he wins we should CELEBRATE BIG TIME!

After MT hit his drive in the lake on 18 he recovered to make par. I hope that gives him some overnight confidence to take in to today's final round.

The big names are not playing this week so they could be several guys in contention  choke on the back nine this afternoon.

I had no idea MT is 35 years old. I thought he was just a year or 2 older than JT.
