Tom Carnahan’s company, Wind Development Group received the money to develop wind power in Missouri.
Carnahan is a member of the influential Missouri political family that includes Rep. Russ Carnahan and Missouri’s Secretary of State Robin Carnahan.
Inside the fundraiser, about 45 well-heeled Obama supporters gathered to listen to the president speak in front of a grand fireplace, Business Insider reports. “I know you guys have a little pull with at least one congressman named Carnahan,” the President reportedly told his host.
