The DSL isnt much better, and that's all the options we have.  I am probably going to have it turned on just for another option.

I just got rid of cable. It was like they had my house bugged to see what I wanted to watch--then cut it off.

My problems seem to happen when it has rains.  I suspect some piece of equipment in my neighborhood is getting wet and acts flaky until it dries out good.    I don't even bother to call them, that would be a total waste of time.

I have long suspected humidity somewhere along the line as the probable cause, it worked pretty well all summer and started flaking out when it got cool.  Of course the MENSA technicians disregard all of my suggestions.
