For Alabama, this could be a very big development either way. We staunchly opposed Missouri earlier because it would have necessitated Auburn's move to the SEC East, which would have served the dual purpose of likely ending Alabama's traditional rivalry with Tennessee and strengthening the Auburn program as a whole through weaker competition and a better foothold into the key recruiting territories of Florida and Georgia.

Guess we'll just have to wait and see if CNS and Dr. Witt has as much leverage with the conference as Bear had with it, especially with Auburn moving to the SEC East.

I'm certainly not current with the recruiting numbers, but it seems that the move would benefit Alabama too by reducing competition for players to the west.  Of course, Aubrun has always done better in Florida than anywhere west (more thugs in Fla).

Laughing Can't argue with you on that. If Auburn does move to the East, do you think the Auburn vs Geargia will get even more heated between the two, they already have a pretty good hatred for each other. Maybe the Barn will try to poison the hedges and Georgia will get a field sprinkler system like they have on the commercial on tv.

Has anyone mentioned the possibility of keeping the annual game with Tennessee and ditching the boogs?  I know that opens up a whole new (maybe even bigger) can of worms, though.  But, in my opinion, the boogs are like a mosquito in your car on a long trip.  It's not enough to do any real damage to you, but it can annoy you to no end until you get rid of it.

I think both of them would cheat to win.  I'm still interested in the wireless communications systems used by the coaches.  There was a thread about it last month.  Speculation that, since they were designed by an Aub graduate and are made there, that the Boogs have found a way to tap into the opposition's communications.

Okay, I said it.  Conspiracy?

Anything wireless is asking for trouble because the airwaves are available for any and everybody. But if you design the wireless system you definitly can get easier access to the others, not to say landline communication can't be tapped as well if you're playing at home but there would be physical evidence that something was done wrong.

The CEO of CoachComm, Peter Amos, is the center of attention.  He developed the system for Booger football.  It is currently the most popular wireless system used in college football; probably by Alabama as well.  If not, I'd like to know.  Huh?
