that a hearing must be held concerning the Clay-Chalkville injunction. They did not give a time of when it will be said but they would have more on the story on their evening news report.

Fox 6 reporting that the Judge has ruled that Clay-Chalkville will play in the state tournament but some confusion as to the team that will not get to play. Fox 6 is trying to get some better details of the Judges ruling.

Wow. I assume that some school that would not have made the playoffs would have be in had CCHS not played. Now, that team is out again. Granted, such team should have performed better during the year and then they would not have had to worry about getting a pass into the playoffs, but still that has to be an emotional rollercoaster for those kids.

Seven schools have been practicing and planning since last week to play the wrong team. Those coaches will now get two days to prepare for the biggest game of the year. Clay-Chalkville is the only team that has been practicing for the correct opponent.

I talked to one of our players dad at the gym tonight. He had just come from practice. Our team was on the practice field when they were told our opponent changed. The coaches were pissed. We played last Thursday so they scouted the wrong team Friday night and spent all weekend preparing a game plan. They now have two practices to review film and put in a game plan. It's only the most important game of the year.

It seems like they would have to delay the 1st round for a week.  This isn't right either.

This was a strange ruling. I guess the judge thinks she knows more about the AHSAA by-laws than the AHSAA. This sets a dangerous presidence.

I hope hscoach comments on this whole mess. I would be interested in hearing what he thinks.

Hmmm, I wonder if the Judge went to Clay-Chalkville High School. 

An elected Jefferson County judge ruled in favor of a Jefferson County school represented by an attorney for the Jefferson County Board of Education. I guess I should have seen this decision coming.

I think it is the right decision.  But they do need to delay the first week to make it fair for the other teams.
