Against #1 LSU in 2011, Cade missed 3 of 4 field goals, with 2 short and 1 shanked.
Most famous for missing 4 FG's at BDS allowing LSU to reamain unbeaten, and knocking Alabama out of a BCS run.
A team shares in its losses as well as its wins. CF did not cause Bama drives to stall. He wasn't responsible for blocking on the Shelley block. He didn't stand with Maze and watch a punt sail over his head.
He was booming kicks out of the end zone on high school kick offs from high school distances. CNS and company just figured his kicking would increase as he got older. With the heighth of his kickoffs, I'm not sure he hasn't proved himself worthy. The difference between our special teams and LSU's special teams gave a slight edge to LSU. Nothing like the difference shown last night. The folks that pointed at special teams were correct to question Bama's lack of skill, but the difference on the season has been no where near as big as what happened last night.
