Most security camera footage is only kept for a short period of time in most places. That's the only problem with that. For instance, a lot of convenience stores have cameras in place. If the store isn't robbed or no drawers are significantly short, they will re-record over the video tape every 24-48 hours.

Another incredible twist in the Penn State/Sandusky child rapist story. Wow!



It is strange that Centre County District Attorney Ray Gricar never prosecuted Jerry Sandusky on child-rape charges 13 years ago, some speculate, because Gricar was known for being fiercely independent and hard on crime.

But it is even stranger that we cannot ask Gricar why Sandusky was not put behind bars, because the tough-as-nails district attorney disappeared in 2005. And though he was declared dead July of this year, his body has never been found.

On Thursday morning, just hours after legendary head coach Joe Paterno and university president Graham Spanier were fired by the school's board of trustees, Madden was asked on The Dennis and Callahan Show what he believes the next piece of news will be.
 
What he said was twice as shocking as anything that's been released thus far.

"I can give you a rumor and I can give you something I think might happen," Madden told John Dennis and Gerry Callahan. "I hear there's a rumor that there will be a more shocking development from the Second Mile Foundation -- and hold on to your stomachs, boys, this is gross, I will use the only language I can -- that Jerry Sandusky and Second Mile were pimping out young boys to rich donors. That was being investigated by two prominent columnists even as I speak."

I would like to make some predictions about this whole situation:

1. Sandusky never goes to court but pleads guilty due to the shame for his family and the incredible number of persons who will come forward as witnesses. This means we will never hear from Sandusky the involvement of Paterno or others in the Pervert State administration.

2. Joe Paterno will be dead in 12 to 18 months due to the impact of this whole affair on him.

3. Sandusky kills himself rather than go to prison as a convicted child rapist.

4. Paterno's son Jay (who is also a coach at Penn State) will be somehow involved in trying to cover this up & protecting Sandusky.

5. Mike McQueary, the then grad asst is the WR coach for Penn State. Payback for not calling cops? (not a prediction, just wondering out loud)

6. A major purge of Paterno loyalists will occur in the athletic department.

7. I think it gets even sicker and uglier.

Believe it or not, I almost posted that the other night as a possibility as to why this was not stopped after the original incident.  I even had it typed up as part of my post.  But then I went back and removed that part because there were no facts to support it and it was only speculation on my part.  I thought the situation was bad enough without me throwing in something like that as a possibility.

There still aren't any facts to support it yet, but I would not be surprised if this turned out to be true.  The primary reason I deleted it was because none of the victims have said anything about other people being involved.  It seems like one of those 8 (now 20 or more) would have accused these other guys or at least mentioned that there were other guys.  So I don't think that happened in this case, yet.  That type of thing does happen though.

We're far from the bottom of this ugly mess.  The hole keeps getting deeper.  Expect my guess at PSU losing its football program to become reality now, if the pimping story is true.

Agreed WV. This is going to be the worst disaster in the history of college athletics, and it is going to hurt MUCH more than PSU's sports teams. This makes all the Albert Means/Antonio Langham crap here and the Cam/all the other players the barn has paid problems seem like getting caught chewing gum in school.
