Quote
Q: For several weeks, there was a lot of talk about what was needed in the first Alabama-LSU game for there to possibly be a rematch in the BCS Championship Game. In your mind, did enough happen last week to warrant that possibility?

"We had always talked under the assumption that the ideal scenario was for the road team (LSU) to lose because you could be more forgiving to a road team than a home team. But aside from that, it played out exactly the way you would have scripted it if you're trying to set up for a rematch".

Q: That scenario with Oklahoma State and Stanford both losing would bring up the Boise State debate again, assuming the Broncos are undefeated. The computers would put Alabama ahead. What about the voters?

"Regardless of which side you're on in the Boise State debate, I think there's a great deal of significance to the fact Alabama just played what we would assume would be its worst game of the year and they're still comfortably ahead of Boise State."

Q: Can you imagine the debate nationally if it comes down to choosing an All-SEC BCS Championship Game or including Boise State?

"If it's an Alabama-LSU rematch, the best part of this is it would happen immediately before the next format of the BCS is looked at. I think if there's a big outcry of an undefeated Boise getting left out or a rematch of two teams who have already played, that's one more reason to change the format, and I think a lot of people would be happy with that."

I am getting confused. Is the NCG to played between the two best teams or compliment one team who has played no type of schedule? We could play Duke every week and go in with a scoring record of points, undefeated, everybody healthy, TR would have well over 2000 yds for the year and we would probably get beat! Why? because of the example I just gave. The Media wants to control sports so bad, especially ESPN and if that is what is going to happen just ask them at beginning of the year and play those 2 and divide up the monies. RTR!

Correct. The BCS game should be played between the 2 best teams regardless.

If it was not for the Tide, no one around the country would know the barn had a rival. We lift them up every November no matter what the records or the outcome.
