In 92, 49 2/3 states were rooting for Bama to win.  Everyone hated Miami, for good reason.  I was at the Cotton Bowl that year wearing my Bama cap, and the Notre Dame fans there saw me and all gave a big Roll Tide.  (The Aggie fans didn't, but most had probably left the game by that point, as ND clobbered them.)

I remember watching that game at home...was a teenager.  I remember going into it that we were pretty much told we would lose.  Then crazy things started happening and it was clear Bama was a much better team.  Then all the talking heads started saying "strength of the conferences blah blah".   Remember that George Teague moment...the ball stealin'?  It was awesome.

There is a guy out where we live that has a Hummer, a real one, not the H20.

It is painted bright yellow like the whos helmets and has purple flames on front half. Hidieous looking machine.
