Jim McElwain will be named the head coach at Colorado State, according to an unconfirmed report by GoldandGreenNews.com.

Attempts to confirm the report through Colorado State and Alabama have been unsuccessful.

Colorado State athletic director Jack Graham issued a statement Monday offering a search update. Graham was recently hired to be the Rams' new athletic director after Paul Kowalczyk was fired.

I wish him good luck. I think he has done a good job while he has been at Bama, hopefully he can establish himself there and move on to a bigger program in a few years.
