Just heard on Sirius radio that Gus Malzahn has accepted the head-coaching job at Arkansas State. Will Dyer indeed (as rumored) follow him?
More as it comes out...

I'm seeing this on twitter too. I have been looking for a credible link but haven't seen anything other than blogs.

The better story came from friends in Arkansas. They predict 2 events: 1. Dyer moves with GM; 2. Gus' wife will not be invited to Arky.

I'm hearing he is taking about a 1/2 million per year pay cut over what he currently makes at Auburn. Does this mean the barn is about to burn and he is getting out while he can?

That's a mighty big paycut to go coach a smaller school. Did he not turn down a job last year that offered some big money? Somebody wanted out of Lee County pretty bad.

Wow! Didn't he pass up 3mil from Vandy last year? He did pass up a big offer from Vandy last year, but I don't remember how much it was. This is very intriguing to me. He has to know something is coming that we don't know about yet.

I just can't see Dyer leaving to go to Arky State. I'm sure he wants to play NFL ball and going there hurts him.

He has to know something is coming that we don't know about yet. I just checked it was reported as $3 million. I think him leaving has more to do with the iron has cooled completely down and this might be his last chance for a HC job. JMHO
