Graham told his Pitt team via text he was going to Arizona State. This could effect Bama because of the quote below.

Quote
Bama linebackers coach Sal Sunseri, a former All-American at Pitt, was considered one of the leading candidates for the position last year before the hiring of Graham. Look for him to be in the mix again this year. With McElwain headed to Colorado State, you may now consider this unwanted distraction #2 leading up to the BCS Championship Game.

Another link. I'm not sure they go after Sal, with his son at QB.

If it happens, it happens. I think Bama is focused on this game regardless of who their coaches are. If CSS ends up being the Pitt coach, I hope he does well.

Shoot we got coaches popping up everywhere going from one place to another and it ain't done yet. I just have to wonder who Coach Nick Saban has on his radar? RTR!

It sounds like Graham couldn't get away from Pitt fast enough. Also, it doesn't sound like he had much of a feeling for his players. he's from the West, so I'm sure he is happy to return to that region of the country. I think Pitt left a bad taste in his mouth. This will be his fourth HC job in 6 years.

Why would you hire a position coach to be HC? Didn't Ole Miss try that with Ed Orgeron? He was an outstanding D-line coach but was lost as HC.

 Huh?

You know, it's funny about Orgeron, he was a good recruiter, even at Ole Miss. He just couldn't do anything come game time.

Orgeron is a strange bird.  I'm sure he has some sort of weird learning disability.  He's mega-hyper and a poster-child ADHD, but it's more.  No way he could be successful as a HC unless he mellows about 99%.
