I can't get a break. Toledo was the better team but they needed to win by 4. Oh well I lose another one.
Again. It is only decided by luck. These teams were matched in trhis bowl because they were close, then throw in a point spread. Might has well flip coins.

I think SC's coin is unusual.  Either that or he has a REAL knack for picking against the line.
The "Big Boy's" gamblers only pick a few games out of all the bowls to bet on. Oh they may put $50 here and there just to make games more fun to watch, but they have narrowed their focus down to only a couple games they feel are locks. This is what the "confidence levels" method of picking bowls is made to simulate. But it may may too confusing for everyone here to play. I am not even sure I bothered to bring it up because of that. At least this way, the goof balls will have a chance, too.

Here is the gist of my strategy, with maybe a few exceptions.  I spent maybe 10 or 15 minutes total making the picks.

1.  Is there an SEC team involved?  If yes, and the team is NOT Auburn, pick the SEC team.  If it is Auburn, pick the other team.
2.  Am I familiar with the teams?  If yes, then make an educated guess.
3.  Is one of the teams from the South?  If yes, pick the Southern team.
4.  Is the point spread close?  If yes, just go with the favorite.
5.  Is the point spread pretty big?  If yes, go with the underdog.
6.  If I make it to rule 6, just pick one of the teams at random.

I'd like to think that there is some defensive football going on here, but I fear that it's poor offenses. I am not impressed with Keenan Allen. Glad he didn't come here.

At least you had a system.  I used your items #2 and #6.  Guess that's why our success differs so much!

My process is so close it is spooky. Maybe throw in climate of bowl vs. climate of teams and distance traveled and that is about it.

I made my picks for the bowl games the way I used to pick the dogs at the track, research for an hour or so. I never won at the track either.  Sad

I thought you were going to say that you watched to see which one took a crap before the game.
