I'm not denying that McElroy was telling the truth, guys. I'm not denying it needed to be said. I would argue that McElroy isn't in position to be the one to say it, and I will definitely stand firm that he said it in the wrong way (on a radio station in Birmingham rather than to his teammates). McElroy was stuck with some lousy teammates this year...I get that...but what he did was being a lousy teammate too. Two wrongs don't make a right, regardless of who was wrong first.
Bingo!! You nailed it perfectly. It's very simple, what happens in the lockerroom, stays in the lockerroom. The only reason so many fans are agreeing with him is because he played at Alabama. Imagine, if he had said something similar while at Alabama, how would Saban have reacted? It would not have been pretty. What if the 3rd sttring QB at Alabama had spoken out like this on a radio show, would he still have been on the team, I doubt it.
Take those crimson-colored glasses off guys and be realistic. ![](http://www.crimsonredsports.com/Smileys/CRS/eyeroll.gif)
