1.   I feel like a 5 year old kid on Christmas Eve! If the BCSNCG kickoff doesn’t come soon I’m pretty sure my head will explode. I can’t imagine how the coaches and players feel. I’ve already laid out my lucky hat and shirt so I’m doing my part.

2.   I think Bama has the mental edge in this game.  All the talk about LSU being one of the greatest of all time, the talk that Bama shouldn’t be here, and just the idea that Bama didn’t finish last game work in Bama’s favor.  On one of the Huntsville channel’s BCS special, all 5 sportcasters picked LSU. That pretty much sealed it for me! Besides, I still believe Bama has the physical edge.  LSU may have the edge at CB but other than that I’ll take our guys. And since DK and DM will both play in the NFL next year I’m not sure there is an edge at CB.  Special teams are the only area I see a strong LSU advantage  and because our guys have something to prove this game, I expect the Bama special teams to be much improved.

3.   If I were OC, I would run the ball at Mingo and Mathieu early.  Neutralize Mingo’s speed and beat up on Mathieu early. Both Mingo & Mathieu are on the small side, so use our size and establish the run early. Maybe even use J Fowler on a couple of early runs.

4.   Don’t kick the ball to Mathieu! I’ve said before, LSU feeds on his big plays so don’t give him a chance to fire them up.

5.   Knock the crap out of Wing! Go for the early punt block and be sure you hit him, even if it means an early penalty.
 
6.    Great win for the Denver Broncos! I can’t help it, I’m pulling for Tim Tebow to prove all the talking heads wrong.

7.   I think PSU made a poor choice for the Paterno replacement. They needed someone who was proven, not a career assistant.  And without the support of former players and a large part of their fan base, it is going to be a really rough stretch for PSU and it will probably be at least 10 years before they are “back”.

1. Don't wear a hat in the house.

2. Saying the Tide has the "Mental Edge" over a bunch of coonasses is not that great a compliment.

3. Running the ball away from Mingo and Mathieu will result in a safety.

4. I know a game we would have won if directional kicking was our forte.

5. Cool! Under my constant tutelage, you've come a long ways. Sucker punching the other guys is OK!
