On Monday in NOLA my sisters and I went to the riverwalk to kill time. I also wanted to buy something touristy for everyone in my family. I stopped into a touristy shop and bought gator poop candy, some squirty alligators for the kids, and I wanted to buy some whole bean coffee by cafe dumond for the hubz. As I am checking out a chunky guy in an LSU shirts is the cashier. I asked him if he minded me dumping some quarters on him since we had gotten several for the "trolley" and ended up just buying a day pass. Well he bristled at the word trolley and said they don't have trolleys in NOLA. I said "well, streetcar." Honestly no person I'd want to be around would be offended at an obvious out of towner in a bama shirt using the wrong word for public transport. In Houston we have the Light Rail but if someone called it a train I would not care much less correct them. YOU ARE WORKING IN A SOUVENIER SHOP YOU MASOCHISTIC IDIOT...IF YOU HATE TOURISTS YOU ARE IN THE WRONG BUSINESS. Anyway, I asked if cafe dumond sells whole beans or just ground coffee. He said I should go to the Tchoupitoulas wal-mart (aka the ghetto) and see. Honestly who looks at a 33 year old woman obviously buying trinkets for her small children and suggests she go to the hood??? What a loser. I wish I could remember the name of that dang store so I could
complain. You dumb loser- half the south has written off New Orleans as a cesspool of humanity and you aren't helping things. I live in Houston...the 4th largest city in the US. I have home visited the mentally ill in the worst parts of Houston and never had a problem. I am not some fresh-off-the farm girl that you can trick into ghetting shot. BTW, if he ever comes to Houston might I suggest he find a lovely place to stay in
Acres Shakers the Acres Home area??? I think they caught the serial killer a few years back he you should be fine.
PS: 21-0 fatboy!!!!!!!!!!!
