Internet offers plenty of breadcrumbs thanks to social media, recruiting websites and good, old-fashioned reporting.
Example: It took me less than a minute Thursday afternoon to learn Crimson Tide coach Nick Saban and defensive coordinator Kirby Smart visited Camden County (Ga.) High a day earlier. Then I quickly discovered Saban visited Lynchburg (Va.) Brookville High defensive lineman Korren Kirven on Wednesday to make a final run at the uncommitted defensive lineman.
Alabama has 25 commitments for 2012 and added two junior college players in January. Saban said Monday during his annual visit to the Senior Bowl he's thirsty for more and continues to recruit for 2012. Prospects can begin sending signed letters-of-intent Wednesday.
The only drama at this point appears to be if the Crimson Tide can make all its pieces fit with the SEC's new 25-player cap on signing classes approved last summer.
