Quote
The NFL and a major television network are apologizing for another Super Bowl halftime show.

There was no wardrobe malfunction, nothing like that glimpse of Janet Jackson's nipple eight years ago that caused an uproar and a government scrutiny. Instead, it was an extended middle finger from British singer M.I.A. during Sunday night's performance of Madonna's new single, "Give Me All Your Luvin.'"
Our society accepts vulgar language in "music", but please don't ever cross the threshold of acceptable hand gestures or we'll have to blur your finger.   Huh? Huh? Lips Sealed

NFL got what it deserved for having trash on halftime show.

They had child molester MJ on around 20 years ago.

Me neither. They don't play her music on Sirius / XM Outlaw Country or Jamon channels.

The NFL needs to consider the type people they are hiring when they make a decision on the half time entertainment. They need to stay away from the young hip hop thugs. Madonna hasn't been revelant in 20 years and I don't know who M.I.A. is. They could have gone with Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton or Kelly Clarkson. They did an excellant job with the pre-game.

M.I.A. must stand for "musically inept azz".

I actually somewhat enjoyed Madonna.  I really don't like her music but she brings back some good memories from my teen years.

Same here, 55. I didn't think I would watch, but I have to say it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, until this chick I have never heard of gave everyone the one-finger salute. Still preferred the years when U2, McCartney, and The Who played halftime.

Yeah, it was more entertaining that I expected, and much better than having to sit through Lady Gaga would have been.  Madonna still has some moves at 53 -- that gives me hope.   Still would have preferred some good old rock and roll, but the Superbowl audience is wide and varied, and it seems this year halftime was for the ladies.

Never heard of her

That's why she did it - no such thing as bad publicity in today's society.

Yep, 55, I was entertained.  Most of Madonna's songs did nothing for me, but the last one was nice (and well done).  It was as bizarre as the opening night of the Olympics in Spain a few years ago.
