The University of Alabama men's basketball team will play its sixth Southeastern Conference road game of the season when it travels to LSU for a Saturday evening contest. The game, broadcast on ESPN2 and on the radio affiliates of the Crimson Tide Sports Network, is scheduled for a 6 p.m. CST tipoff at the Pete Maravich Assembly Center.

The Crimson Tide has won three straight games to improve to 16-7 overall and 5-4 in the SEC after defeating Auburn, 68-50, on Tuesday night in Auburn. Meanwhile, LSU has lost four of its last five games to fall to 13-10 overall and 3-6 in the league. However, the Tigers are 3-1 in SEC home games this season with the lone loss coming to Kentucky.

Bama is a 2 point favorite, looks like the odds makers are saying this game is a toss up.

Definitely a toss up.  Bama will win if it can hit some shots.

Like a lot of teams LSU plays better at home. Their only home loss was to Kentucky. Seems like I heard that about the barn last week.  Cheesy

Bama's worst enemy is themselves. If they can take what they did at Auburn and expand from that at LSU today, they will win the game. Going into game 2 of Mitchell's suspension and another road game as well, it wll be interesting to see how the win at Auburn has affected the younger ones. RTR!!!!!

Has anyone heard anything about the status of Mitchell? Is he practicing wth the team?

Also, I hope we see the same rotation of players with about 10 different players getting playing time. I hope Hankerson stays hot from 3 point land and maybe Lacey, Releford, or Steele can hit some from there.

 Cry

It appears that I'll be sticking with my "wait till next year" approach.

Don't give up on tonight's game. We have a bunch of talented young guys who may play better when they are no longer role players and have to become scorers. I think we are deep enough we might still win this game.

It really upsets me the team leaders are the one that can't seem to follow team rules.

All of the ones that have been sitting on the bench will get their chance tonight. I'm like pmull, I think there is plenty of talent on the bench to win this game tonight. Bama will probably have to settle in to a half court game to try and stay out of foul trouble and play a lot of zone on defense. Hopefully our big men can get the job done under the basket.

Timeout with 11:47 left in lst half, we trail 12-6. Our D is starting to come together, but if we don't start hitting some outside shots, we are in trouble. Engstrom needs to fight for those rebounds. At 7'1", he should be a rebound monster.
