Had a hot one pass through here about 3:30. Lots of rain & thunder, but nothing severe. Memaw Mawmaw in Opp just escaped a tornado that she said hit there. That's the weather report as I know it for now. More to come.

We have been bobbing and weaving all day but I think we are clear now. It hit pretty hard around Athens and North Huntsville which is too close for comfort. I hope all my CRS friends are safe tonight.

I drove through large hail and heavy rain today coming home.  We lost some shingles on the roof (and now have a blue Katrina-like roof tarp).  

We're good.  No problem.  The insurance people assured LF that we'd be covered.  

We're praying for everyone else.

FIFY. Not to make light of it, sounds like you had some heavy stuff. Hope the damage isn't too bad.

BTW, yes we have a Katrina/Ivan roof.  But at least we didn't lose any more trees (so far).  All we had was a bunch of flying shingles (I think), and the blue tarp was tacked down before the heavy rain started, so we don't have any water damage (Kilz at the ready).
