My son is going to enroll at the Capstone for Fall 2012. We need an apartment for him and a buddy. I would like to find a good 2 BR/2bath apartment within walking distance of the University. If you guys could give me the name of some apartment buildings I would be greatly appreciative. Thanks.

Ah, memories.  Even the sons of rats that inhabited my old apartment have passed on by now.  But the pacle still remains (8th Street; 2 blocks west of the stadium).  Our rent was $75/month.  
I stopped by there after a game a few years ago.  The same apartment (half of a house) rents for $1200/month now!

But I wouldn't wish those roaches and rats on anyone, MD.  Best of luck.

How close do you live?  Maybe you should just go drive around and look.  I moved to Starkville while my now husband was finishing up his degree and in a college town you really need to lay eyes on it if you can...or have someone you trust tell you the scoop.  I got lucky and landed in a cute, cheap, place with no roaches and only had to step over a passed out frat boy once

We live 70 miles from T-Town and my son has been to T-Town many times and has buddies there already enrolled, so we are not totally lost. We do plan to drive there and look around real close and see if we can find a "deal" there. My son is very excited since he is a huge Tide fan (thanks to Dad). He loves all the Tide sports teams, but my big failing is he is a big Yankees fan.
