Not sure why you aren't seeing the picture.  It's a picture of a dog nipping at a man's heels.

Oh, ok. I get it.  It's not showing up, though, at least on my 'puter.

We managed the 7-4 win for our 6th straight.  Playing at Coors always makes me nervous b/c the Dodgers aren't a long ball team.

Still trail the Braves by 2 games for the best record in baseball.  Nip, nip.  Wink

Over in the American League the Red Sox have opened up a 5.5 game lead on the Rays and have the best record in the AL. They are 8-2 in their last 10 and playing well. The Sox only have 22 more regular season games.

I know we have some Baltimore fans on here. They are 8.5 back and fallen to 4th in the divison behind the Rays and Yanks.

Thanks for the news, 2.  I hadn't seen that.  But Matt Kemp was never going to be Matt Kemp this year.  His shoulder injury/surgery was a much longer frame recovery than anyone knew at the time.  He lose 20-30lbs of upper body muscle in the offseason.  He was warning track power this year even when "healthy."

O's can't get anything going. One night the pitching is there, and they can't hit. Another night they have offense, but no pitching. No way for the O's to catch BoSox at this point, but only 2 back in the wildcard.

Boston beat the Yanks again last night. They are 7.5 games ahead of the Rays with 19 games to play. Boston has a winning percentage of .601. That is 2nd best in the majors behind the Braves but the Sox have played a much more difficult schedule.

The O's has a difficult schedule the rest of the way. The AL wild card is a wide open race with 6 teams within 4.5 games.

Yep. That's why the series this weekend with the White Sox and next weekend with Toronto are so important. I think the O's need to sweep those two series if possible, and then win the majority of the remaining series to have a chance. That's a tall order, especially they way they have been hitting lately. However, we got a great start out of Scott Feldman last night (complete game 5-hitter), so maybe that's the start of a run.
