Over in the American League the Red Sox have opened up a 5.5 game lead on the Rays and have the best record in the AL. They are 8-2 in their last 10 and playing well. The Sox only have 22 more regular season games.

I know we have some Baltimore fans on here. They are 8.5 back and fallen to 4th in the divison behind the Rays and Yanks.

Funniest thing. My cousin the Phillies fan is yukking it up on Facebook that the Fillies have taken the first two games against the Braves. I guess she is choosing to ignore the fact that her team is 20.5 games back and will be watching the playoffs from their couches.

Phillies hit a homer in the bottom of the 8th.  
Game was tied, 2-2.  Batter had an 0-2 count, then worked to full count, then homer.

The O's ain't out of it. They are only a 1.5 games behind the Rays. I forgot to check the schedule but if they play the Rays head to head, I think the O's win the 2WC. RTR!

Good news for you Braves fans.  Jason Heyward had the bracing/bands removed from his broken jaw and will begin taking batting practice this week.
